Drier than last year, just Sophie and Matt shooting who both came 1st.

Lintman19th May 2007

Juniors only for this shoot. David R was 1st with Jordan 3rd and Harry and Callum  were 1st and 3rd respectively but shooting for the school club which came 1st team.

Raven 12/13th May 2007

Chris and Ben both 1st, Michelle 3rd, Eddie and Shaun were both shooting as well.

West Windsor 7th May 2007

Very windy day with bows, scopes and tents all falling over or trying to fly!   John and Eddie were 2nd and 4th longbow shooting gents western and Grant was 1st junior longbow shooting the western.  Laura and Harry were both 1st in their rounds with Matt 2nd and David R 3rd. Chris shooting for the third day on the trot (having already done a 2 day shoot at Kendal) shot as a gent and came 4th with Andrew C close behind in 5th place. Crowthorne were 3rd team consisting of Chris, Andrew, Barry and Laura. Also shooting were Charles, Martin and Shaun.

Andover Saxon 29th April 2007

David R and Laura were both 1st in their sections and Callum in his first big competition was 4th.

EMAS Fita 22nd April 2007

Adult rounds only so Chris did very well to come 5th, Sophie shot as a lady in her first Fita, Ben retired.

Six club members went to this shoot, Charles,  Andrew H,  Denis,  Barry and Martin  shot the Albion and Alex H the Windsor

Ben and Chris were both 1st and Michelle 2nd, we have a new member Shaun who has taken up the longbow mantle from his brother Eddie who was there shooting barebow.

Glamorgan Field 4th March 2007

Weather conditions for this were dreadful. It has been renamed the bog snorkelling champs!! Ben, Chris and Michelle all managed to came first. Eddie has changed his bent stick to barebow for field now so is competing against people who have been shooting that for a long time but the scores are going up.

Kestrels Worcester 3rd and 4th February 07

Chris shot as a gent and was equal 6th for the single round and 4th for the double. Sophie was 2nd and 1st respectively and Ben was 3rd and 2nd.

Guildford Fita 25  21st January 2007

Only 3 archers went to this, Chris, Sophie and Andrew. Chris and Sophie were both 1st

Junior National Indoor Championships 4th and 5th December 2006

Chris and Sophie were both picked to shoot for England again but one of the compound archers had a very bad day so unfortunately England came last. You can tell the standard of archery when Chris came 8th  in his section despite shooting 559!  Sophie shot her socks off and is National Champion with a fantastic score of 560.

Surrey Indoor 26th November

Michelle and Ben were both 2nd visitor, Sophie was 1st and Chris 3rd. Martin also shot.

Berkshire Indoors 18th and 19th November

This has to be a record. We had 31 archers shooting at this competition, too many to mention all the names but Eddie, Ben, Sophie and Grant are county champions and we were 1st junior and longbow teams.

Surrey Field 5th November

Crowthorne did very well with Chris, Ben, Connor, Eddie and Ruth all coming 1st!

Hawks FITA 18 28th and 29th October

The juniors had to compete against the adults in this shoot so no medals but Sophie, Chris and Ben got some experience of a head to head at a world record status event.

Laleham Albion 8th October

There is only one round in this shoot, the Albion which starts at 80 yards so Sophie did extremely well to beat a much older girl to get 1st place as did Ben who was 2nd against older boys. Chris finished 1st. Sophie and Chris took the junior pairs trophy.

AAS British Schools Archery Champs 7th October

Sophie was 1st and Ben was 3rd. Grant shooting longbow in his first competition came 4th (he beat all those in his age group but unlike recurve the longbow archers are put into one class so he was competing with those shooting much shorter distances.) Also shooting were Stefan , Callum and Harry. Callum and Harry  were representing NMR school and with another archer were placed 5th school team.

Welsh Field 23rd and 24th September

Chris, Ben and Michelle were all 1st, Connor was 2nd and Eddie was 3rd

Warfield Short Metric 17th September

No medals for anyone but Gemma was 5th and Charles 6th. Also shooting were Martin and Andrew and Alex H.

Crawley Field 16th and 17th September

Michelle, Chris and Ben all came 1st, Eddie and Connor came 2nd        

S.C.A.S Junior Champs 2nd September

Sophie was 1st and Ben came 4th just 7 points away from 3rd!

Guildford Acorn 28th August

Helen was 3rd lady, Ben was 1st Bristol 2, Chris shot as an adult and came 6th and together with Andrew C made up the  Crowthorne team who came 2nd. Also shooting were Andrew and Alex H , Barry and David R.

Junior National Field 19th and 20th August

It was only Ben and Chris who went over to Northern Ireland for this shoot. Ben came 2nd and Chris is the National Champion for his age group.

S.C.A.S Junior Intercounty 20th August

Sophie, Alex H and Jordan were representing Berkshire who came 5th team. Sophie won the salver for highest individual recurve.

Kingsbury Field 29th and 30th July

Chris, Ben, Ruth and Eddie  all  came 1st, Sophie only shot one day and was 2nd

Junior Euronations 22 and 23 July

This is a competition between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Chris was chosen to shoot for England and their recurve team were 1st. In the individual event Chris was 9th out of 19 

Overton Field 15th and 16th July

Michelle was 2nd lady, Eddie was 1st gent longbow, Ben, Chris and Ruth were all 1st in their sections , Sophie came 2nd in hers.

Berkshire Champs - 9th July

Michelle  shot the Hereford to become county champion. Chris shot the York and was 1st junior gent. Eddie shot longbow and was 1st

gent. Crowthorne  took all the medals in the Bristol 3 with Ben, Jordan and David R coming 1st to 3rd respectively. Sophie was 1st shooting the Bristol 4 and was part of the winning junior team along with Ben and Jordan. Martin shot the Hereford and was 2nd. Also shooting were Charles and Harry.

Junior National Champs-1st and 2nd July

Saturday was the junior FITA star day and the Home Nations Tournament. Chris shot a gents FITA and came 4th, Ben shot a metric 3 and was 2nd as was Sophie who shot a metric 4 missing 1st by 2 points.

Sunday was the Junior National Champs day with Chris shooting a Bristol 1 and placing 3rd, Ben a Bristol 3 and coming 4th after a great tussle with the junior who eventually came 3rd. Sophie shot a Bristol 4 and took the U13 Junior National title with a score of 1222 which also got her a gold rose. She was also a member of the winning SCAS mixed and recurve teams.

A County Match -Berks vs Surrey and Sussex was also on that weekend and David R and Alex H were part of the winning junior team

Little Acorn-24th June

Helen, Laura ,Sophie, Ben and especially Chris cross dressed for the occasion to raise sponsorship for the Junior National field shoot in Ireland. Sophie and Kate shot up a distance so were not eligible for medals which also affected the team placing. Ben was 2nd shooting the Western and Chris  3rd, I think Chris was struggling with his high heels! David won his section and was  junior champion, David, Jordan and Laura were placed 3rd team.

Burleigh Tournaments - 17th & 18th June

In the Junior Open on Saturday, Sophie, Chris, Ben and David all won their individual classes and also won the team award:   Jordon shot well and was 2nd in his class. Other junior club members shooting were Will, Harry and Alex. Sophie and Ben were the top girl and boy overall. Sophie also had the honour of being Lady Paramount for the day.

In the Senior Open on Sunday, Crowthorne had a clean sweep of the Gents Long Western, with Martin, Charles and Neil coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Chris (shooting the New Western) was the top boy. Ben and Sophie both shot the Western and got gold medals. Other club members shooting various rounds were, Andrew C, Andrew H, Alex H, Barry and Nigel.                     

Windsor @Windsor 11thJune

Very hot days shooting. Ben was 1st, Laura and Adam 2ndin their sections. Charles, Martin B, Nigel, Dennis and Andrew H were also shooting.

Harlequin Diana-4th June

Michelle was 1st Lady shooting the Albion, Dennis shot this, Simon was 3rd gent shooting the Windsor, Kate and Alex G were 1st and 2nd girl shooting the Short Windsor.

Middlesex County shoot and FITA  28th and 29th May

Ben and Sophie were 1st in their Bristol rounds, Chris shot a gents Fita on the Monday getting a very respectable score of 1050.

Laleham  FITA -21st May

The weather was terrible for this shoot and it was halted at 10 dozen but Sophie and Ben stuck it out to come first in their metric rounds and made 2nd team even though it was only the two of them!

AAS Southern - 20th May

Another good result. Helen in her last competition as a junior was first  girl u18, Chris 3rd boy u18, Ben 1st boy u14, Sophie and Alex G 1st and 3rd girl u 14, David R and Adam 1st and 3rd boy u12. Sophie, Helen, Ben and David made up the winning non school team. Alex B was shooting for the school team of NMR which came 3rd.  Kate, Laura, Jordan, Will and Harry C also took part.

Raven(Field) - 13th/14th May

Chris was 1st U18 Boy, Ben was 1st U15 Boy and Michelle was 2nd Lady.

County Match  Berks v Surrey7th May

Sophie, Ben, Chris and Helen were part of the winning Berks junior team.

West Windsor - 1st May

Ben and Will were 1st & 2nd Junior Boys shooting the Short Western, Laura and Kate were 2nd & 3rd Junior Girls shooting the Short Western, other club members shooting were Andrew C, Charles, Andrew H, Alex H, Martin B, Barry, Nigel, Simon and Sarah.

Andover Saxon - 30th April

Helen was 4th Lady, Sophie and Laura were 1st & 3rd Junior Girl, Ben and David R were both 1st in their sections claiming a red and blue rose respectively.

Kendal  (Field)- 29th/30th April

Chris was 1st U18 Boy, Michelle was 4th Lady.

Pagoda - 23rd April

Ben was 2nd Junior Boy shooting the Windsor, Kate was 1st Junior Girl. Other members shooting were Barry and Andrew C.

Dearne Valley(Field) - 16th/17th April

Chris was 1st U18 Boy, Michelle was 4th Lady.

Pentref Spring Shoot(Field) - 1st/2nd April

Chris was 2nd U18 Boy, Ben was 1st U15 Boy.

Glamorgan at Pentref(Field) -  5th March

Ben was 2nd U15 Boy, Chris was 1st U18 Boy and Michelle was 1st Lady.

Southern Counties Indoors - 19th February

Richard came 2nd in the Gents Compound, Chris was 2nd Junior Boy Recurve, Helen and Sophie came 2nd & 3rd respectively in the Junior Girls. Other club members shooting were Simon, Andrew H, Ben, Alex H, David R, Jordon, Kate and Michelle.

Kestrels Worcester

Only Crowthorne juniors competing in this shoot and again it was just junior boys and girls regardless of age. Sophie was 1st , Ben 2nd and Chris 5th. Sophie and Ben also shot a double round and were both first. Ben’s second round score of 267 was equal to 13th in the adult section while Sophie’s score of 256 was 3rd.

AAS Indoors Portsmouth (juniors only)

Sophie won her section and was also top girl overall. Kate and Ben were 2nd in their respective sections, Alex G was 6th and Sam was 9th. Ben, Sophie, Sam and Kate took team silver for non school club.

Guildford FITA 25

For this shoot the juniors were divided into junior boys and girls irrespective of age so Sophie did exceptionally well coming 1st in the girls with a score of 506 and Chris was 1st in the boys scoring 504. Alex Henman was 9th and Ben 10th.

Michelle was 7th ladies recurve, and Richard was 6th in the gents compound.

Rayleigh Indoor Junior Portsmouth

Helen, Ben and Sophie all won gold in their sections, Chris won silver (only 2 points behind the winner) and Alex H was 4th
